Taelor Russell is a freelance photographer and visual artist based out of Austin, TX, whose work has earned state-level awards and recognition.
Taelor’s creative passion is precipitated by the human condition. Her portrait photography, which she has been practicing for over 8 years, has transcended cultural, socioeconomic, and gender boundaries; offering the raw, often untapped side of human emotion which frees itself from the constraints of societal interference. Her locally renowned humanitarian photography is characterized by optimism, hope, and love; as portrayed by the euphoric and often downright silly expressions of her subjects, despite their often challenging circumstances.
As a result of her frustration in believing that her art was not completely satisfying God’s calling for her, Taelor decided to forego art school and instead pursue a degree in Global Studies at St. Edward’s University, where she is currently enrolled. This has allowed her to better understand the world that she wants to help impact, and how she can use her art to do so.
